Putt18 World Pro League

The Putt18 World Pro League (WPL) was born out of a shared passion among mini golfers who were determined to continue competing even during the lockdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic when mini golf courses around the world were forced to close. What started as a way for players to stay connected and keep the competitive spirit alive quickly evolved into a global community of likeminded players. The beauty of the league lies in its simplicity – all you need is a Putt18 Putting Mat, a Camera, someone to track scores, and access to Facebook Live. This innovative setup allowed players from across the globe to join in, maintaining the excitement and camaraderie of competitive putting, despite being physically apart.

Key individuals such as Allan Cox, Josh Mars, Nathan Lamplough, Matt Ansley, Tom Loftus, Richard and Emily Gottfried, Pat Sheridan, and many others were instrumental in shaping the Putt18 WPL. Their combined efforts helped establish a virtual platform where golfers, regardless of location, could continue playing and competing, fostering an international community of putting enthusiasts. What began as a creative solution during challenging times has now blossomed into an ongoing global phenomenon.

Charity and Community Spirit in Every Event

One of the defining features of the Putt18 WPL is its commitment to giving back. The league recognizes the importance of fostering a sense of community and charity among its players. As part of this mission, the Putt18 World Pro League hosts an annual Mad Hatters Charity Event. This exciting, 5-week competition is much more than just a chance to play and win—it’s a celebration of charitable giving. Each player is encouraged to support a charity of their choice, with all proceeds from the event being donated to these causes.

Mad Hatters adds an additional layer of fun to the competition. Each week, players have the opportunity to wear a different, often creative, hat while competing. This light-hearted twist adds an element of personality to the game and creates an exciting atmosphere for both participants and spectators. Throughout the event, the featured charity of the week is highlighted, allowing players to learn more about various causes and actively participate in making a difference. The Mad Hatters Charity Event is a powerful reminder that while competition is the focus, the spirit of giving and making a positive impact on the world is just as important.
